Working At Heights Training
We offer Working at Heights training through approved training provider Ancam Solutions. This training is required by any worker in Ontario who works at heights of 3 meters or more in the construction industry. For most industrial establishments our Fall Arrest training will suffice. However, clients working in the construction industry will require the more in depth Working at Heights Training. The training takes approximately 7.5 hours and teaches participants the safe way to work at height. Topics include but are not limited to:
• Right and Responsibilities under the OHSA
• Applicable Regulations
• Hazard Identification
• Hierarchy of Controls
• Barriers, Bump lines and Guardrails
• Travel Restraint and Fall Arrest Systems
• Work Positioning and Access Equipment
• Rescue Procedures
• Practical Evaluation and Workplace Scenarios
Upon completion of the course participants will receive a temporary certificate. The MOL will send a wallet card certificate to participant’s home address 4-6 months after the training date. This training certification lasts 3 years. If participants renew their training before the expiry date, they will only have to complete a shortened “refresher” course. Participants who wait until after the expiry date to renew their certification will have to take the entire 7.5 hour course again.
Minimum group size is 6 participants. Maximum group size is 24 participants.
